Privacy Policy for Trinket Shelf

Last updated: June 21, 2026

Trinket Shelf is a personal app for collecting photos of small treasures on a digital shelf. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.

Download

Trinket Shelf is coming soon to the App Store.

Data Collection

Trinket Shelf does not collect analytics, run advertising, or operate its own accounts or servers. The app does not use crash reporting or analytics SDKs.

Data Storage

Your trinkets, photos, shelf layout, and app preferences are stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you are signed into iCloud, this data may also sync to your private iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. That synced data stays in your iCloud account and is not accessible to me.

A home screen widget reads a small snapshot of your shelf from shared on-device storage so it can display your trinkets. This snapshot stays on your device.

Permissions

Trinket Shelf may request access to your camera and photo library solely so you can photograph or import trinkets. This media is saved to your device (and to your iCloud account if iCloud sync is enabled).

Third-Party Services

Trinket Shelf uses Apple system services, including on-device background removal via Apple Vision.

If you choose enhanced background removal, the app sends that photo to remove.bg to process the cutout. That upload only happens when you explicitly opt in. remove.bg's handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy.

Trinket Shelf does not otherwise use third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or crash reporting services.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date.
